It’s time to take the Trippinar to the the Pyrenees, the mountains that divide France and Spain. Leod Escapes has been riding here for over 10 years. This wild region is Europes “other” mountain range that most of the world doesn’t know about. They combine endlessly twisty, well‑maintained mountain roads with huge variety in scenery, culture, and suiting different riding styles within a relatively compact area. You get big‑alp drama without Alps‑level traffic or prices, plus the option to hop between the unique worlds of France and Spain each day. The Spanish side tends to be warmer and drier, while the French side is cooler and greener; if the weather closes in on one side you can often escape it by crossing a pass. What an awesome place to practice your motorcycle and travel skills.
These hotels are filled the right amount of local character and modern comforts with OLD charm.

Take our tips and arrive a few days early.
After after a good breakfast, we will shuttle you to the motorcycles outside of town. Trying to exit Barcelona on your first day is more stress than you want to deal with. Our partners will greet you and get you sorted out with your rented motorcycle. Your instructors will be on hand to help you with any questions. Then off we go towards the mountains. Your instructors will lead the way the first day as you get used to your navigation equipment and your motorcycle. In about 90min will already be soaring along smoothly through hill country about to pull into our first coffee stop. We just keep climbing all day. Lunch will be high in the mountains eating the best Spain has to offer. What will be on your plate? Well you've been riding past it all morning. The goal is always to arrive in Val D'Aran, high in the mountains by late afternoon. This will be your home hotel for the next 4 days.
Today it's time to plan with your small group which route you'd like to try. Check with your Instructors to see if you would like them to join you at some point. Take a long tunnel under the Pyrenees to ride the southern side of this world. It's common for everyone to ride the same route today but in our separate groups.
Now it's your turn. Ride west and pass after pass will tempt you. Villages in the valleys welcome you with fuel and food. You'll know the instant you enter France. The style of the buildings alone change completely. Keep pace with local customs and dine when the locals dine. You'll get the hang of it. You'll also learn to love "REPSOL".
Today is your last full day in the Pyrenees. Perhaps you'd like to take a slow morning and walk around Vielha. Enjoy the Spa downstairs. It is amazing! Breathe the free mountain air, pet a few horses and take it all in. Who's up for victory drink tonight in a very comfy bar?
You didn't think we were going to take the main highway did you? Well yes but even a main highway is gorgeous here. There's also some great passes and roads to enjoy. We've got a special hidden one for skilled riders that's sublime and the name will seem strangely familiar. Lunch... well how about lunch at Catalunya's most important castle... or somewhere on the roads near Monserrat. We got options. You return your bikes the same place you picked them up and cabs are arranged to take you into town... who's up for victory dinner?
Hopefully you can arrange an afternoon flight as you'll probably want to sleep in. More important than all the fun you had is you've learned the lesson that riding in Europe isn't that hard and you can do it yourself.
